Dealing with a user who belongs to five hundred different groups is a nightmare when you’re trying to debug file permissions or NFS mounts. You’ll run id, see a wall of text, and realize the kernel’s group limit is going to bite you sooner or later.

💡 The Fix

Clean out the redundant noise by identifying and pruning group memberships that aren’t actually needed for that specific service or session. It saves your sanity and keeps your authentication logs from looking like a crime scene.
