Stop ps from truncating your long command lines

🧩 The Challenge

Trying to debug a runaway Java app or a complex cron job only to see a bunch of ellipses in your ps output is infuriating. You know the arguments are there, but the terminal is just cutting you off when you need them most.

💡 The Fix

Use a specific output modifier that forces the shell to spill the entire command line into your view. It saves you from having to dig through /proc files manually.

⚙️ Why It Works

Adding that double w flag tells the utility to ignore your current window width and dump the full string of every process. Without it, you are basically flying blind once your command string gets past 80 or 100 characters.

🚀 Pro-Tip: Pipe it into cut or awk if you only care about specific arguments buried deep in that long string.
