How to check warranty of a Dell Machine online ?

In this post, we will look how to check and verify Dell machine warranty online.

1. Get Your machine Serial Number
This command collect your Product name and Serial Number.

# dmidecode -t 1 | egrep -i "product|serial"

You will get an output like below on your machine:

### On my machine:
[root@nglinux ~]# dmidecode -t 1 | egrep -i "product|serial"
	Product Name: Inspiron 3521
	Serial Number: G7KYNA1
[root@nglinux ~]# 

2. Now go to Dell product support page.

 http://www.dell.com/support/home/in/en/inbsd1/products 

3. Click on warranty image like below.

4. Enter your serial number and click submit.

You will see the warranty status like below:
